Dutt Takes A U-turn From Jail

Dutts are rejoicing. Sanjay Dutt, who surrendered this morning, has returned home from Yervada Jail. The actor has reached his building Imperial Heights at Pali Hill.
A source close to Dutt told SpotboyE.com said, "Sanjay reached Pune by 3 pm and spoke to the jail authorities about his application for furlough leave extension. He was told that no decision had be taken on the application yet and he can remain at home until a decision is taken."
When contacted, Dutt's lawyer Rizwan Merchant said, "Yes, Dutt is back home. The State home minister Ram Shinde has said that Dutt need not surrender until a decision is taken on his application, "
While getting into his car in the morning, Dutt had said, "Extension ke liye apply kiya tha, lekin nahi mila, I have to surrender. I will miss my family chand kids."
The 55-year-old actor, convicted in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case was released on a 14-day leave of furlough by the Pune’s Yerawada Central Jail authorities on December 24 last year.
